Strategic Commitments
Committed Exploration
Seeking out new experiences and working past initial challenges to broaden and enrich one’s life through the pursuit of learning.
THE PRIORITIES
Refine and expand opportunities for students to explore, including elective programs, immersive learning experiences, and off-campus community engagement.
Teach in reimagined and expanded spaces that better support our program and Habits of Excellence.
Utilize the skills and insights of the current and alumni MTS population, as well as experts from the broader community, to enrich school-wide learning.
Critical Reasoning
Valuing and seeking multiple inputs and considering all facets of a topic to understand, analyze, and effect change.
THE PRIORITIES
Ensure MTS students graduate with the critical thinking, writing, and mathematics skills needed to thrive in their future.
Attract and retain a more diverse professional community who possess expertise in both what they teach and who they teach, and who appreciate the process of learning and child development as much as the outcome.
Infuse our curriculum with a more diverse range of voices, perspectives, and experiences that enrich the learning for all, while being seen, heard, and valued.
Conscientious Citizenship
Recognizing our responsibility to society and actively engaging to make our communities stronger, healthier, and happier.
THE PRIORITIES
Build and nourish a broader student and family community that is diverse in identity and culture.
Regularly provide students with opportunities to actively engage in culturally conscious learning to build empathy and develop responsibility to others and their communities.
Expand our program and facilities to ensure students and the school are responsible environmental stewards.
Collective Wellness and Belonging
Actively nourishing the mental, physical, and emotional needs that allow individuals and the collective to thrive.
THE PRIORITIES
Evaluate our compensation and professional development plans to promote the health and well-being of our professional community as individuals and role models to our students.
Ensure all families have access – financial and otherwise – to the full breadth and depth of the MTS experience.
Infuse social-emotional learning, wellness, and physical activity into the daily experience of students in ways that support a sound body and a sound mind.
Support students and families in developing a productive, intentional, and healthy relationship with technology both on and off campus.
Get Involved.
We need the support of the entire MTS community to bring this plan to fruition. Please let us know how you'd like to help.
